We distilled this amazing Super Aceh oud oil from top quality material from Aceh which is a semi-autonomous Indonesian province on the northwest tip of Sumatra Island. I always wanted to distil oud oil from this region and this is the first batch added to our collection 50 different oud oils.
Upon the first swipe of Aceh is smell a creamy vanilla and burst of kinamic spicy notes, it’s like you burnt some bakhoor, slightly herbaceous, boozy and evolves to a leathery scent reminiscent or leather gloves or a old book with leather binding and the bakhoor notes still lingering in the background as it’s like burning a piece of Aceh oud on slow heat. The dry down is slight oceanic ambergris and Smoky leathery dry down. What I like most about Aceh is the animalic musky bites and powdery notes that it provides every now and then.
